Mommy Hurt My Head from Aarhus, Denmark present what could be the most exciting thing in the harsh electronic scene for years. Their hard, direct and uncompromissing sound brings us back to the time when music was made with synthesizers not with computers and when distorted vocals was made via tube driven pedals not with plugins.
The danish electronic scene always had a special sound with acts like Leaether Strip, Psychopomps, Birmingham 6. But somewhere in the end of the 90:ies this sound totally disappeared and really so did most of the danish scene.
Mommy Hurt My Head brings both that special sound and the raw energy back. Denmark is more than ready to be a name on the map again. Despite this album being their debutalbum the people behind the band is no newcomers to the scene. Der Doktor for example was one of the persons in danish cult industrial duo Arzt+Pfusch. Abn pAn also has an impressive trackrecord with acts like Deadstate 81, Glass Description and pAn and the G9 slug.
For fans of harsh old school electronic music like Frontline Assembly, Leaether Strip and Skinny Puppy... this release will be nothing less than a real feast for the ears.
