The Birthday Massacre - Imaginary Monsters (EP CD)

Press Release
Canadian group The Birthday Massacre has become one of the most popular scene-related bands of the past decade with an energetic mix of Eighties-Electronica, aggressive walls of guitar riffs and catchy, cinematic melodies, coupled with a mesmerizing visual concept and a sweeping live presence. On the band’s new EP “Imaginary Monsters”, teenage angst, daily horrors and the proverbial monsters under your bed are being funnelled into three irresistible, new Alternative-Pop-epics walking the tightrope between Gothic, Metal and New Wave. Furthermore, five colleagues have been invited to develop their own perspective on the group’s songs: hat die Band fünf Kollegen gebeten, eine neue Perspektive auf ihre Musik zu entwickeln: SKOLD, Combichrist, Tweaker, Assemblage 23, and Kevvy Mental & Dave Ogilvie deliver their own highly creative and club compatible spins on classic tracks from The Birthday Massacre. As a special bonus, the EP also contains a data track with a HD-resolution version of the elaborate clip for “In The Dark.” Back through the rabbit hole – one Canada’s most exciting music exports returns!
