Front Line Assembly - Echogenetic / Limited Edition (2x 12" Vinyl)

Press Release
Early July 2013 will see the surfacing of Front Line Assembly’s new Album “Echogenetic”. Band Leader Bill Leeb had announced a purely electronic return to the classic Front Line albums like “Caustic Grip” or “Tactical Neural Implant”. Now they are coming through with their promise. The band links their trademark electronic sound at its most successful with elements of “Glitch” or “Dubstep” incorporated into their cinematic as well as club-oriented sonic DNA creating this potent hybrid.
After Front Line Assembly gave Industrial Metal a decent upgrade in 2010 with their last studio album “Improvised Electronic Device”, the band released the soundtrack to the successful browser videogame “Airmech”, which was sold out instantly in Europe, and recieved very well by the bands followers. After Front Line Assembly released a great soundtrack for the computergame “Airmech”, they set their aim for new targets: Echogenetic is like an upgraded version of the most successful Front Line Assembly releases, and includes high octane dancefloor grenades like “Killing Floor” or “Exhale”, as well as pure electronic midtempo epicness like “Exo” or the heavy and percussive “Prototype”. Tracks such as “Ghosts” and the title track show the band willing to push past the boundaries between modern electronica and electro-industrial. The mastering and mixing was done again by studio legend Greg Reely.
The album is scaduled to be released in July, just one month earlier than Front Line Asswmbly team up with Haujobb to rupture european stages.
The album title “Echogenetic” leans towards the medical term “Echogenic”, which relates to matter “containing structures that reflect high-frequency sound waves and thus can be imaged by ultrasound techniques.” However, just like FLA incorporate new influences into their music to create a new sound, the title too represents a hybrid mix for current and future technology.
Front Line Assembly have clearly regained a pole position of electronic sound design and music in 2013.
