Various Artists - A Thing About Machines

Press Release
The second in a series of compilations focusing on electronic music that makes us groove. Showcasing another direction of the future of Crime League's pay-what-you-can digital EP's.
Music for night drives, exploration & time travel.
New songs by Architect, Heiki Sillaste, Deline, Displacer, Jakob Thiesen, Famine, Anklebiter, l'Ombre, waveTangent, C.Dubsound, Jamie Irles, Wire Fences, F(x) Function, Guise, Diff_cult, Synkro & Procedure.

So really, this compilation is for everyone… and kind of no one but myself. It's selfish but it's electronic music I love, in too many styles to go into here, and, because when it comes down to it, it's all electronic music to me without classification. We're all using the same machines to try to express ourselves in limitless ways, but we're all tied together by the groove. All of this is interconnected in my mind and so this is how I tried to create a playlist that flows. Might it be by sound or mood, you can be carried forward to listen to a song you might not have given a chance before, compartmentalized into a sub genre of a sub genre, and be surprised at how well some of this music fits together. It's in two parts, I think it's also important you take a rest or at least think about an intermission between each one. It's quite a journey, but I thought it all should live together on one longer compilation. I hope you'll also notice I'm trying to introduce some new electronic wizards on this compilation mixed in with some great professionals, who I think really deserve some attention. You'll be hearing more from them soon, so come back and see what else the Crime League is planning. Thanks go out to Tympanik Audio, Ant-Zen, Hymen Records and all the artists who inspired me to do this.
M.
