Cosmic Armchair - We Are Watching

Press Release
Alfa Matrix proudly presents its amazing new signing from Singapore (!!): COSMIC ARMCHAIR. Already very well established in Asia through numerous live performances, radio and TV shows and various international collaborations, the time has come for the talented duo of Cosmic Jane (singer / songwriter) and Cosmic Ben (producer / arranger) to expand their sonic conquest to the world…
Often compared to bands like LA ROUX, GOLDFRAPP, DEPECHE MODE, THE SOUNDS or yet CHICANE, COSMIC ARMCHAIR now release their first EP "We Are Watching" with Alfa Matrix revealing their unique blend of synth-pop / electro dance / EDM / New Wave with sensual catchy female vocals. If their meticulous songwriting skills literally shine through modern, moody and highly melodic songs like "Conversations" and "Don't Leave Me Here", the 3 next club mixes move onto innovative dance realms and are all clearly aimed at the dancefloor, pushing Cosmic Jane's fragile and emotional voice to the front while the up-paced dance/house beats intelligently underline the carrying synthetic melodies. And if the club mix of "Conversation" is bound to become an unavoidable radio and club classic, "Marching Of The Days (club mix)" shows the hardest side of the band with a very hammering EBM beat, Asian vocal samples, menacing bass lines and loopy virulent synth attacks, while "Cross The Lines (club mix)" confirms the eclectic music style of the band with its sampled guitars, its melodic grandeur and Cosmic Jane's darker side.
A strong debut EP that will definitely attract the spotlights onto COSMIC ARMCHAIR in anticipation of the release of their forthcoming full length album announced for later this year… Let the modern e-pop sound of this Singapore duo charm you!
