Not every album takes over 20 years to finish, but this is indeed the case with the first “proper” release from Infiltrator.
An enigmatic collective from the most backward parts of rural northern Sweden who refuse to reveal their individual identities.
Painstakingly compiled and reconstructed from cassettes originally released in extremely limited numbers in the eighties and nineties, “Black Light Therapy” is a harrowing document of addiction and accelerating mental illness.
As key members of the Infiltrator sect have been in and out of psychiatric wards for the better part of the last decade, work has progressed very slowly and it is only recently that CCP has persuaded them to finalize this collection of tracks.
Coma-inducing distorted drones, frenzied percussion and dislocated howls from the asylum all combine to drag the listener deep into the horrifying abyss of extreme Nordic winter depression.
It is with great pleasure that we present these virtually unknown old school industrial gems which, like fine wine, have been allowed to mature for a quarter of a lifetime.
Listen at your own peril and remember that it could well be another 20 years before you hear from Infiltrator again – if ever.
