It’s time for us to take a first single from the debut album by RAVE THE REQVIEM – one of the runaway sales successes on DWA this year – and to be honest it was a hard choice given the amount of outstanding and catchy tracks contained therein.
However, our first pick is “Aeon” – which also happens to be the name of a major retailer here in Japan, but given the level of profanity in Filip’s lyrics we probably won’t be approaching Aeon Japan anytime soon about any kind of marketing tie-in…
ALIEN VAMPIRES, who surely need no introduction, already provided us with one remix of “Aeon” dripping with Eurodance cheese and featured as a bonus track on the limited edition digipack-CD version of the album.
For this digital-EP edition of “Aeon” we turned outside the scene to hardcore techno artist ANIMAL TAG for a breakneck interpretation – and to top Russian dubstep producer TIM ISMAG.
Tim has a massive following of 46,000 here on Facebook, and numbers DJ L8N joint commander-in-chief of Resistanz Festival among his many fans – many of whom will probably be more than interested to hear him drop the bass on this one…
