This December, Syd.31 return with their blistering sophomore EP Drowning in Air.
Playing extensively throughout the UK and engaging with their growing fanbase since the release of Start a War in 2014, the band have been inspired by many fans who spoke of their experiences, difficulties and frustrations with the political systems that rule us.
Taking their political anger, honing and fine tuning it into suffocating rage, their new material increasingly reflects the zeitgeist of dissatisfaction and rebellion.
The emotive and powerful vocals for Drowning in Air were recorded by Dr Magic thousands of feet above sea level in the oxygen-sparse mountainsides of Tenerife. Not able to breathe properly during takes, he was literally Drowning in Air.
With production by JD Tucker of GRENDEL, mastering by the legendary X-FUSION studios and featuring guest appearances from Paresis, Kommand+Kontrol, Pam Van Damned and Beinaheleidenschaftsgegenstand, Drowning in Air captures and reflects a new age of rage for electronic music.
