Press Release CYFERDYNE’s assured 2nd album “Keep Your Silence” came out earlier this year to voluble critical acclaim – accompanied by one of *the* standout performances of Resistanz 2014. Surely enough, later in the year this slickly-produced and quietly-accomplished sophomore album entered the Top Ten of the German alternative charts – followed by a large-scale launch party schedule on both sides of the Atlantic. DWA is now pleased to present the first single to be taken from “Keep Your Silence” – the catchy and commercially-accessible “Jigsaw”. Remixed already for the bonus section of the CD limited edition of the album by none other than ASSEMBLAGE 23, for this EP version of “Jigsaw” we placed the pieces in the more-than-capable hands of California-based darlings of witch-house AAIMON to work a dark magic over, and DWA’s own angel to some demon to others Jay Ruin of CEDIGEST/RUINIZER infamy. The resulting “Jigsaws” EP begins to become available digitally from today, via all usual outlets – iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and of course as of *right now* from our very own Bandcamp storefront…where if so inclined you can also pick up a very special physical release version. Want to play a game? Well, the song IS called “Jigsaw” after all, so…YES, in what may very well be another first for DWA among “industrial” labels if not among “all kinds of labels” we are also releasing this new CYFERDYNE single as a 25-piece jigsaw puzzle…in a limited edition of 25 “pieces”. Craving the perfect quirky stocking filler this Christmas? Then look no further – for one of these strictly limited edition puzzles can be yours for the price of $10 plus shipping. Naturally the 21cm square jigsaw comes with a download code for all 4 tracks, and comes packed within a rather nifty foldover A4 flyer which also doubles as a souvenir poster.. Be naughty or nice this Christmas – the choice is yours. But in the case of these jigsaws, “be fast” – because we reckon these are going to fly out faster than a fat man on a sleigh. And who knows – they might even be something that singer Steven Hought...
Press Release Despite dropping the deadly double-header of RUINIZER and CUTOFF:SKY on the world last weekend, and being on the verge of announcing possibly one of the most lethal debut albums ever, by and large 2014 seems to be shaping up to be “the year of the second album” on DWA. With BLAKOPZ’ massive “As Nations Decay” just out of the starting blocks, and with no fewer than four acts including SURGYN currently completing follow-up albums for 2014 release, we can today make public details of the first of 2 more second albums we are already preparing for release – the new full-length from UK-based outfit CYFERDYNE. 2013 saw a sea-change at CYFERDYNE with the departure of previous programmer, producer and co-vocalist Niall Robertson and the recruitment of local Lancaster-based Ritual Noise DJ Andy McBain in his place. Any doubts anyone might harbor about how this might impact on CYFERDYNE’s sound should be swiftly and firmly laid to rest by the assured and powerful production of their exceptional second album “Keep Your Silence”. Written by the original line-up including Niall, and recorded and produced by the new line-up, “Keep Your Silence” demonstrates the depth of development in both sound and songwriting one would expect from a second album, straddling the line between satisfying fans of the band’s debut “Genesys” and those seeking something more. And “more” it certainly is, in all respects - taking CYFERDYNE into leaner, cleaner and more polished production territory. More commercially-accessible, while still retaining measures of the edge and aggression evident in their earlier material. A quintessentially British sound reminiscent in parts of MESH or DEPECHE MODE on tracks like “Numb” and “Weak”, not merely in terms of vocals but also the plaintive synthpop melodies. In the...

Press Release The 3rd of the new acts we introduce to you this Spring hails like SURGYN from the UK – and shares with SURGYN the feature of not one but two singers, and a sound built on the backbone of EBM. Incorporating guitars and a variety of influences from dark rock to 80s rave, on their appropriately-titled debut album “Genesys” CYFERDYNE skilfully blend these disparate elements into a powerful and cohesive whole – that in its many musical twists and turns recalls PANIC LIFT’s brilliant debut “Winess To Our Collapse” or even SURGYN themselves. With CYFERDYNE’s evident gift for evocative and melodic songwriting given crisp production through the mixing of Phil Barry (BE MY ENEMY/CUBANATE) and mastering of Kolja Trelle (SOMAN), it is apparent that in “Genesys” we have yet another outstanding and captivating debut album from another emerging talent to add to the DWA roster. Despite CYFERDYNE being a new act, on the strength of the material alone we had no difficulty persuading established luminaries of the scene like GRENDEL and ALIEN VAMPIRES to pitch in with remixes, alongside another maelstrom of a mix from longtime DWA favourite CEDIGEST.
