Press Release Succeeding his profound and forward-thinking album 'Depth Charged' which was revealed last February, Terence Fixmer returns with 'Depth Charged Remixed' featuring Ostgut Tons Answer Code Request and UKs underground techno hero Steve Bicknell. Elevation, originally the final track of the album, emotional and reflective, is kicked up a notch by ACRs Patrick Gräser by adding ponderous drum patterns making it perfect for the floor. Conversely, Steve Bicknell takes on Unforeseen. With its fast paced rolling bass it is now put into top gear shivering with feverish reverberations. To compliment each variation, included on the EP are Fixmers own live versions that have energetically filled dance floors throughout his tour.
Press Release Over the past two decades, French producer and live performer, Terence Fixmer, has continued to evolve as an artist while maintaining his influential stance in international techno culture. With his last solo album, Comedy of Menace, already five years behind us, his continuous evolution has led him to produce his most introspective album yet. With this 10-piece composition Fixmer is able to tell a story from start to finish, with powerful, deep, dark, pulsating tones that are essential to his musical approach. Depth Charged is a complete concept as Fixmer’s track arrangement takes the audience through various emotions illustrating how there is more to darkness than the dance floor. Beginning with a slow but heavy bassline, “Ellipse” acts as a perfect introduction setting the attitude for the album. “Fleeting Beauty” brings us fluttering chords amidst a serpentine drone, while the rolling bass of “Unforeseen” sends you into a trancelike state. “Purity” distracts the listener with its raw analog warmth filled with extraterrestrial energy. “Inside of Me,” exclusively selected by Marcel Dettmann for his Fabric 77 mix, followed by “Outside of Me” are both very dark tracks, filled with atmospheric suspense and quaking rhythms. “Beyond” is a pure exemplary of Fixmer’s signature style with an infectious progression sending anyone to the dance floor as “Pallid Light” follows its footsteps filling a bit more radiance into a modern techno sound. “Thoughts” shows another emotion of the album with deeper dub-like sonorities leading to the final track. Concluding the odyssey is “Elevation,” the most melodic track of the album, beauti...
Press Release This special Planete Rouge EP series kicks off with the re-release of two classic tracks taken from Terence Fixmer’s first album ‘Muscle Machine’, which was originally released on DJ Hell’s International Deejay Gigolo Records in 2001. This acclaimed debut album spearheaded the fusion of modern techno and EBM. In particular the tracks ‘Warm’ and ‘Rage’ both combined the raw and dark atmosphere of EBM with the energy of driving techno. On ‘Relapse Volume 1’ the re-mastered original versions of these two tracks are accompanied by remixes from Sandwell District’s Regis and Planete Rouge’s own Alexey Volkov. Regis (Karl O’Connor) hands in a sinister, looped-up version of ‘Warm’ replete with ghostly samples and a dizzying groove, while Alexey Volkov turns his hand to ‘Rage’ delivering a deep, thumping remix that plays with frequencies and a squelching bass. Look out for more in the ‘Relapse’ series, coming soon to Planete Rouge.
Press Release Electric Deluxe are pleased to announce When The Sun, the latest EP from French protagonist and Electric Deluxe affiliate Terence Fixmer. Fixmer first cut his teeth on International Deejay Gigolos, aligning his early EBM and industrial-steeped brand of techno with DJ Hell’s cult and audacious label. Teaming up with Nitzer Ebb vocalist Douglas McCarthy, in 2002 he continued to explore the stylistic union as Fixmer / McCarthy, marrying his coined “techno body music” with the sensuality of pop on records for Synthetic Symphony and his own Planet Rouge imprint. Solo, he has fomented a relationship with Electric Deluxe since his 2009 EP Machine. His sound has persistently bridged the past and present in a tenacious refinement of modern techno, climaxing in his debut long player for the label, Comedy of Menace. After the skulking Le Terrible, Terence Fixmer plunges deep on his Electric Deluxe return to present new works of lush and dubby techno. As its title suggests opener, “When The Sun”, bounds in on a light and jovial vibe—an instant warmer, arriving just in time to thaw the clench of winter with dreamy pads and a sparkling summer-bleached melody. “When The Moon” is its evening accompaniment, continuing the kinetic energy through to nightfall with a springy, rubber-ball bassline that drives the track home. “When The Earth” concludes on a more Fixmer-recognisable note. Employing signature industrial touches and dark to spooky atmospherics he delivers another stunning piece of dance floor hypnotism.
Press Release Terence's new release is a 3 tracks ep, with a mindness travel to no destinations, except for the one to hypnotize with some cold and deep orientation, include on it another deep version reworked by prologue artist Iori. also well known from his outstanding Phonica White Series release.

Press Release French producer Terence Fixmer rose to prominence nearly ten years ago during the height of electroclash with releases on Hell's International Deejay Gigolos. This was despite the fact that his searing, electro-techno had little to do with that scene?s one-note fixations. Thankfully, on Comedy of Menace, his latest studio album, Fixmer sounds more in sync with the prevailing mood in electronic music. "Dark Line", the album opener, is a jacking Chicago-style affair, the doubled up kettle drums and brooding acid riffs climaxing together, while "Things are Over" also makes use of the 303, its squelchy lines underpinning a doomy vocal. "Drastic" and "Alert" sound like a more malevolent take on Function's "Isolation". That said, Fixmer does stamp his own identity all over "Menace", while modern-day bleeps'n'subs are also audible on "My Experimentation" and "Dance like Paranoid", they are delivered with a primal ferocity that recalls the Fixmer & McCarthy collaborations, with the French producer grabbing the listener's attention through the use of pounding industrial rhythms. When it comes to menacing the dancefloor, few do it as convincingly as Fixmer.

Press Release After more than eight years of existence Gigolo Records is still the most unconventional label in the world of electronic music and dance. And in 2006 HELL’s label is still looking in every direction to renew its style without forgetting, of course, its very own origins, those great artists that made its fame back in the days… And here comes the return of one early hero: This new year will witness the great return of one of the most respected artists of the techno scene, the frenchman TERENCE FIXMER. His stunning new album is called Silence Control and will not only please all his fans, but also attract all the lunatics of the darker sides of electronic music. FIXMER’s new album passionately refers to the EBM, industrial and no-wave movements which were highly affected by outrageously gorgeous acts like THROBBING GRISTLE, FRONT 242, or FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY. And the least we can say is that five years after his famous first album Muscle Machine, TERENCE FIXMER didn’t lose his appetite for destruction and for a dark techno style with no compromise. But while his first album was built around a few dark and violent loops that constituted the rythmic framework of his tracks, TERENCE FIXMER refined his sound and notably through his very successful collaboration with DOUGLAS McCARTHY, the legendary voice of NITZER EBB on his own label Planete Rouge, which resulted in the very successful album Between The Devil and several 12“ singles. The impact of his recent projects is clearly seen on Silence Control. A powerful mix between techno and EBM, where his love for hard techno beats and binary rythmic loops has joined his longstanding interest for dark analog electronic waves, a reboosted mixture that his fans can appreciate both on their home soundsystem and live, seeing FIXMER unleashing his electronic violence like an ear-blowing hurricane. Silence Control gathers 15 tracks of raw techno power. This is clearly an album which s...
