Whilst their second album “Ad Astra Volantis” is still shaking the techno and industrial dancefloors across the universe and other star systems, the cutting-edge duo of STUDIO-X vs. Simon Carter decided to thank their ever-growing eclectic fanbase through the release of an extended 14-track EP featuring some 8 exclusive tracks plus 5 bonus remixes! Starting off with one of the album’s highlights, “Connecting The Dots”, an explosive dancefloor friendly showdown evoking the sounds of TUBULAR BELLS meeting THE WILD WEST, this EP plunges us at full speed into a technoid futuristic soundscape for the ultimate cyber-heads. Fast paced, techno driven hardstyle tunes full of oomph and oontz that once again show the duo pushing the musical boundaries of listeners’ minds…
As always with these unpredictable enfants terribles, this new EP also has its more melancholic and almost pop fuelled elements with songs like the uplifting and moody “NoWhere”, the catchy dance tune “Forbidden Dreams”, the unique slow burner “lost In Space” or yet the experimental psy-trance effort “Never Part”…

Strong off the international positive and resounding appraisal of their "Breaking The Void" debut album and its numerous related single/EP releases, the futuristic duo consisting of UK's Simon Carter and Australia's STUDIO-X's mastermind Lawrie Masson, strike back with an all new 10-track EP announcing the forthcoming album "Ad Astra Volantis"…
Kicking in with the aptly titled upbeat dark elektro track "Dance With Me ‘Dance With The Devil’", the dancefloor instantly gets filled with eerie sounds and thumping devilish beats. This song is also available in a more acid / synth overloaded alternate edit, as well as a more EBM-esque remix by 00TZ 00TZ. But the club party extravaganza does not stop there, since the duo added some 7 (!!) bonus songs to accompany the title track starting with the incredibly catchy "Can You See" (one of the highlights from this release!) and its oldskool analogue sounds and infectious beats; the gritty poppy "White Knight"; "Too Late" and its addictive haunting vocoder vocals (another potential club hit from this EP); the thumping techno-infused "Travelling (Dead of The Night)" which happens to be the fastest and hardest cut from this dark release; the bouncy and passionate upbeat "Away From Home"; the smoother and almost EDM spoken vocal track "Your Own Way" and last but not least, the modern trance vs. EDM "Changing Times" and its uplifting vocal guest appearance by A2B2…

With this 3rd EP taken from the STUDIO-X vs. SIMON CARTER "Breaking The Void" album, UK’s Simon Carter and STUDIO-X's Australian based mastermind Lawrie Masson take us by surprise by selecting one of their harshest and darkest tracks as the title song. They give it a commercial work over with the aptly titled "Club mix" version. "Angels Of The Dark" also gets revisited through a stomping and mesmerising PREEMPTIVE STRIKE 0.1 melodic mix, a furious industrial dance version by Brazilian label mates AESTHETISCHE, an intensive industrial mix by ACYLUM and also the "hands-in-the-air" dancing club-hit remix by C-LEKKTOR. Also featured on this EP is the wonderful synth-driven version of "Fallen" by the geniuses over at INTERFACE. The duo gratifies us with 2 new exclusive non-album songs, firstly the truly filthy electro track "Dragonfly" in which the rough, gritty bassline makes a full-on audio assault on listeners’ ears whilst the calming vocals and lyrics emote a sensuous mix of melancholy and dark beauty. And last but not least, with "Nuclear Love" and its distinctly upbeat dark electro vibe feeling, it should please the post apocalyptic survivors out there!
