In October 2014, the most important German Melodic-Electro-band celebrated its first two decades with a one-off concert event. The long-awaited recording of this special concert is now being released as a classy DVD/CD set in a hand-numbered Digipak long box, limited to 1000 copies, world-wide.
Grand jubilees require an adequate form of celebration. Henceforth, Solitary Experiments decided to organize a mini festival in the renowned concert hall Huxley's Neue Welt in Berlin, on October 25th, 2014, in honor of their 20th anniversary. Electro goes symphonic! On the orchestral masterpiece “HEAVENLY SYMPHONY“, Solitary Experiments showcase a selection of the popular Melodic-Electro-group's greatest hits in gripping symphonic versions.
Solitary Experiments have always been fond of expanding musical horizons and of breaching genre-boundaries. When offered the chance of rearranging a selection of their best tracks to be performed by a full symphony orchestra for the third installment of the popular “Gothic Meets Klassik”-festival, it was like a long-held dream come true. And when performed with the sonic prowess of an orchestra, what were once club-compatible Electro-tunes suddenly unfolded a completely new form of emotional energy which left everyone, including the band, completely flabbergasted. Also included is a smashing cover version of the Bronski-Beat-classic, which the band has treated to the trademark „Solitary-sound“ with loving care. The original tune was a massive influence on the group and pretty much the initial spark for trying to put together a music project.
